Why Nehemiah?

Based on the book of Nehemiah in the Bible

Nehemiah was concerned about the wellbeing of those in Jerusalem when he was a captive in a far away land.  

He was able to gather resources, assess work required, and galvanize the community to work together against a number of odds.

We want to follow that example and help the community of Altus, specifically homeowners whose homes are in desperate need of repair.  By the example of Nehemiah, we hope to bring to bear resources, people, and funds to ensure homeowners have a safe home.  We are dedicated to bring the resources, people, and funding together to make a difference in people’s lives. 

How have we helped people?

We make an impact.

We have helped an elderly lady with a leak she had in the bathroom for years.  This leak created multiple problems and we were able to help correct all of them through donations of money from generous donors, sacrifice of personal time from servants, and donations of equipment and supplies from caring individuals.

We helped multiple with landscaping tasks they could not complete themselves.  By gathering large groups of people, we were able to accomplish tasks in hours instead of weeks, which made it safer for the homeowner and beautified the neighborhood.
